Our Refuge: starting point for exciting excursions throughout the year

All the year round, mountain lovers can take advantage of the privileged position of the Refuge, equipped with an amusement park, a large sunny terrace and comfortable double rooms with shower/WC where our guests often love to stay for several days. Sightseeing and entertainment opportunities are never lacking.

		In the summer, the Alpine world offers an endless variety of climbs and excursions which start off right in front of our Refuge, which also lies along the Dolomites Superbike trail. Prato Piazza is also an ideal area for Nordic Walking.

In the winter, you can enjoy 7 kilometres of cross-country skiing trails winding through fascinating rocky landscapes, numerous Alpine skiing opportunities and excursions on snow shoes of all degrees of difficulty, or have fun sledding down the slopes.

Our cuisine: the flavour of the local dishes

Gourmets are happy to stop at the Prato Piazza Refuge. In our typical wood-furnished Tyrolean Stuben you can taste our specialties all the year round: a perfect combination of local delicacies and Italian cuisine, such as the “tris” of pasta and Tyrolean gnocchi, the “Brettljausen” (flavourful snacks made of typical products), soups with “knodels” (dumplings) and home-made cakes and pastries with a very characteristic flavour, all in complete harmony with the mountain setting.
